About Me
Celestine began training in the art of speech, communication, and performance at the age of seven. Though her speech was fully developed, a reluctance to speak at all, lead her mother to seek the expert tutorledge of the highly regarded Margaret Charles ATCL, LTCL, FTCL, B. Ed., under the examining board of Trinity College London. Celestine developed a love for the art of speech, communication and performance and trained under Margaret Charles until she was in her twenties. She has performed in numerous stage shows and after obtaining her Associate Diploma in speech and drama teaching Celestine went on to complete her Licentiate of Speech and Drama Teaching with Trinity College London* and a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in communications and public relations and three minors in, English literature, marketing, and human resource management with the University of Southern Queensland. Celestine has had careers in T.V. journalism, local and national roles in business management, marketing, and training within the corporate domain. She has also sat as a member on both corporate and school boards.
Celestine ran a highly successful speech, communications, and performance studio in Ipswich for ten years and a further five years in the Lockyer Valley. During this time, she taught children and adults both one on one and in group settings. Lessons are individually tailored and can incorporate developing speech, reading, public speaking, written English, social skills, business management and communication skills, and performance skills. She has worked with students with learning disabilities including Dyslexia, Autism and students with speech impediments. Using the Trinity College and Australian Speech and Communications Association syllabi she has prepared students for exams and eisteddfods. Her lessons have aided students to achieve results such as bursaries, scholarships, distinctions, championship awards, school captaincies and increases in school grades in high school and primary school English, both written and oral.
For the past seven years, Celestine has also been working as a professional artist, personal stylist and small business consultant. She has her certificate IV in Adult Training and Assessment and has also obtained her Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning enabling her to teach primary and high school. For the last six months she has been taking on teaching contracts within the Education Department and holds a Queensland Teachers registration and blue card.
*Trinity College is an international exam board based in London, England est. in the 1880s. Trinity offers graded and diploma (up to postgraduate level) qualifications across a range of disciplines in the performance arts and English language learning and teaching. The board conducts exams in over 70 countries.
